Founded in 1986, Osel Shen Phen Ling is one of Missoula, Montana’s oldest Buddhist organizations, providing regular meditation practice, group discussion, study, and instruction, with workshops led by qualified visiting teachers throughout the year. We are a center affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), a world-wide organization founded by Lama Thubten Yeshe and Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.  We practice Buddhadharma in the Tibetan Gelug tradition of Lama Je Tsongkhapa and His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama. OSPL is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the state of Montana.

We are back to hosting in-person meditations at our gompa on Higgins Ave. We meet Mondays at 7pm beginning March 6, 2023 for weekly meditation. Check out our Programs page for more information.
